Homestay In Thrissur

The cultural capital of India, Thrissur has a rich cultural heritage and historical importance. Thrissur a strong and deep history that starts from early sangam era. Thrissur, the name derived from 'Tiru-Shiva-Perur' (the town with the name of Lord Shiva) is the cultural capital of Kerala. The town is built around a hillock top. Its most prominent feature is the Vadakkumnathan Kshetram or temple which has Shiva as it presiding deity.
Thrissur Pooram is the most important event in Thrissur. This temple festival is regarded as the festival of all festivals. It is the biggest and most colourful temple festival in Kerala.
